Most MSPs won't publish prices. We will. Ranges below reflect actual 2026 market rates for the level of service you're buying — the specific number for your environment comes from a 20-minute discovery call.
Quick answer
Managed IT services from Green Desert IT run $110–$220 per user per month, depending on your security requirements and compliance framework. That price includes EDR, MDR, managed backup, phishing training, patching, and a human help desk with a 15-minute SLA — bundled, not upsold at incident time.

What the MSP market actually charges in 2026
Pricing bands sourced from 2025–2026 industry surveys (Kaseya State of MSP, TruMethods, MSP Camp) plus public rate cards from regional MSPs. Ranges reflect what a typical 25-user SMB pays in a Tier-2 US metro like Tucson or Minneapolis.
Budget MSPs (regional, price-shoppers)
$60 – $95 / user / month
Antivirus (not EDR), basic patching, break-fix-style helpdesk, no MDR, no restore testing. Security add-ons priced separately and often skipped.
Mid-market MSPs (2025-2026 baseline)
$110 – $180 / user / month
EDR included, MDR included on higher tiers, real helpdesk SLA, managed backup with occasional restore testing, phishing training. This is the honest market rate — where we sit.
Premium MSPs (specialists, vCIO-inclusive)
$200 – $325 / user / month
Everything in mid-market plus dedicated vCIO time, compliance framework ownership, on-site engineers monthly, custom SLAs. Fit for regulated 100+ user firms.
Where we sit: firmly in the mid-market band. We aren't the cheapest — the cheapest MSPs cut security corners you can't afford. We aren't premium-tier either — we don't sell you a vCIO you don't need. We deliver the honest 2026 baseline for around $140/user/month, all-in.
Pricing — frequently asked questions
How much does managed IT actually cost in 2026?
For a small business in Tucson or Minneapolis, expect $110–$180 per user per month for a properly-scoped managed IT plan that includes EDR, MDR, backup, phishing training, and a human helpdesk with a real SLA. Anything meaningfully below that is cutting security; anything meaningfully above is premium vCIO or specialist compliance work.
Why are your prices ranges, not fixed?
Because environments vary. A 30-user law firm running Clio in the cloud costs less to manage than a 30-user dental practice with an on-prem Dentrix server, imaging hardware, and PCI. We quote a specific number after a 20-minute discovery call.
Do you have a minimum contract length?
12-month initial term, then month-to-month with 30 days' notice. No auto-renewal that locks you in.
Do you charge per ticket, per incident, or after-hours?
No, no, and no. Your monthly per-user rate covers all of it — help desk during business hours and after-hours P1 support routed to on-call staff.
What is not included in the monthly price?
Big projects (M365 migrations, hardware refreshes, office moves) are scoped separately with fixed fees. Licensing costs (Microsoft 365, security tools) pass through at our cost — we can bill them or you can buy direct.
Do you sell hardware?
We coordinate hardware purchases (laptops, switches, servers, firewalls) at pass-through cost from our distributors. We don't mark up hardware — we make our margin on services.
